Introduction dialogue,
Achilles: "The Reality!"
Turtle: "NO! A reality!"
Achilles: "This time I'll trust your judgement.. Why!?"
Turtle: "Kant says: "everything is seen "through the senses", what does he mean by that?"
Achilles: "I suppose that he means that we are limited by our senses"
Turtle: "Yes!"
Achilles: "And and and!"
Turtle: "Yes??"
Achilles: "That some don't know this in society is a practical implication!"
Turtle: "Ha! I'm only meta, but Yes! You're totally right in fact!"
Achilles: "I know Heidegger to! He has one or two things more to say about this!"
Turtle: "What exactly did you have in mind?"
Achilles: "Well I'm not certain about the existence of the english terms for this so I'll give you the dutch version: "terhanden" & "voorhanden""
Turtle: "My interpretation when I did read heidegger in my early totlerhood was : "terhanden is that which you perceive as true" and "voorhanden is that thing which confronts you as new fact", but at that time I couldn't find practical applications for it!"
Achilles: "Well.." (pondering verry hard, Turtle even frowns for a moment) "Yes!"
Turtle: "What exactly?"
Achilles: "Hmm.. Take a little stone, cultural reality is that "little stones are easy to use don't contain much mass" this we vall "terhanden", namely because it is taken for a fact. Then if we for a moment decide to take the stone up there are two possibilities, namely one "the stone does nothing" two "the stone does something strange""
Turtle: "No! the stone can't do anything at all! But the stone in your mind can be changed character!"
Achilles: "Yes truly an interesting point indeed!"
Turtle: "Go on! I sense a non definite awnser so you have more for me to grasp!"
Achilles: "Ha! Nice way of putting it! Indeed.. So I'll add a new thing namely "the fact an sich" which I call "fact", that which is fact has the potential to become "terhanden" or "voorhanden" when it changes its character. "voorhanden" is mostly confronting, while "terhanden" only is the first time."
(Moments thought)
Achilles: "Yes, "normative science" and "language games", those are 2 easy concepts to grasp, first "language games", If you learn a "game" of chess you are actually learning rules! The game is of inventing more rules and applying them on different levels of thought. Then if you want to learn a new game like "chinese chess" you only have to switch some rules and add a view and thereafter you'll be able to play the game relatively soon. This principle is universal, its also true when you learn Latin grammar and then begin your english which has much properties of Latin. The "language game" should thus be taken as a broad principle. Then "normative science" in Heideggerian terms is a concept of something that searches "this'es" and "thats" or in dutch "ditjes and datjes", these "this'es" and "thats" are predetermined, and it has been called "normative science" what simply put, means: "the things it searches for are predetermined", philosophy tries to fiend out MORE definitions of "ditjes en datjes" and perhaps even expand the definition with "superpositions" or "the thing before "ditjes en datjes" like the subjective viewpoint in the story""
Turtle: "Well easy concepts but a whole lot to take! 4 deep philosophical or psychological concepts!"
Achilles: "I suppose you're up to it!"
Turtle: "Hehe, yes I am!"
Achilles: "Ok, you've recorded it with your "BedRockRecorder" so you shouldn't have a hard time learning this "which normally comprises complete introductions of MUCH books""
Turtle: "ad rem please"
Achilles: "Ok, I was lost in thought! The conclussion"
(Achilles takes a deep breath, perhaps he needs oxigen for this matter)
(Turtle takes it over and takes a deep breath to just to be more certain of his tiny and efficient meta cognitor to take things up properly)
Achilles: "Turtle.." (waits a moment for turtle to look him in the eyes) "Take the sciences for example they mostly try to find out what reality IS! But they merly study whats at hand, namely the by following rules instead of playing "language games"."
Turtle: "Ha! I knew freud was right when he said "Todlers try to manipulate reality!" and geniusses try this as well!"
Achilles: "I know! I had the same feeling when thinking about it. But some "normative sciences" are efficient ("language games") others arent, they have mostly an unconscious common goal which is "live life and do what is asked and if lucky you know how to be yourself inside the "game"". Everyone wants to know how the clock ticks but no one wants to get "confronted with a clock". To quote Schopenhauer on this:
Truth passes through three phases:
* First it is ridiculed.
* Second it is fiercely and violently opposed.
* Third, it becomes self-evident.
-- Arthur Schopenhauer"
(For both a moments thought)
(Achilles go's on)
Achilles: "So "
(Turtle interupts):
"Brr, sometimes S. gives me the shiffers."
Achilles: "Indeed! But. So. The sciences and the science philosophers take over eachothers games (normative sciences/standard games), but forget that by analysing the games, new properties could be found!"
Turtle with a sardonically deep face: "Achilles my student... Thats how the master would bring it!"
Achilles: "Yes, and the practical implications are as follows: Take someone who is ill, and friends say he/she has a problem, you take this over (voorhanden (something wrong with X confronts you) becomes terhanden (you agree with the fact (fact is that friends pone this fact but it is accepted outside your reality so its a fact))). So you take this over and see the person as having a problem. Now a docter confronts you and says "Your friend is ill and has a dissease", the logical instinctual awnser to "illness" is guilt which could lead to questions like "Heal my friend!" or "Is my friend healable!?". I suppose you should sharply listen to what people say and well my only message to you turtle is: "if you understand this, you automagically become more conscious of several processes""
Turtle: "Yes I understand! What you say in short is that for example the social sciences forgets to play the game"
Achilles: "Thats why I like philosophy at this moment so much!"
So eventually the Achilles and the Turtle concluded that science historically never was a science but adapted its principles. Astrology was a science somewhere in history. But then dogmata where exchanged for certain schemata. The question isn't right. It isn't what social science is about its about "why do we hold on to our old definitions?", "Normal science is playing A game" So being wrong means the student is wrong not the theory. "Extraordinary science playing games", so the student uses properties not defined by the game. Then if newton's magnum opus influenced students and practitioners for a couple of centuries then newton created schemata or games to think with. A logical inference would be "science in history is not finding things out but looking up results not looked up before". I'm am here to practice new science namely "heuristical research!" or "metascience".

Meta-science therefor is the principle that creates room for science to think about itself and create new sciences. (which is, ideals that predict particulars like physical/metaphysical future things)
So, its talking "about science paradigmata" and when applying one paradigma it predics particulars.
