The one problem I was having was with vibration; the focuser was too stiff, and the telescope would oscillate every time I tried to focus. Next I went down toward the horizon, more to the east, and found Jupiter. Again, easy to pick up in the view finder. Again I was treated to views much better than I expected. With the 40mm eyepiece I was able to get Jupiter and (4) of its moons. With the 25mm, several cloud bands and some polar darkening. With the 10mm I was able to pick out LOTS of detail. I didnt see the red spot that night though. That is the one thing I really want to see and have yet to accomplish. Now lets get to some deep sky stuff; Sirius first, bright blue and a pin point. I saw very little defraction and no noticeable rainbow or weird colors. I guess my collimation job was pretty close. Next came the Pleiades, again almost overhead. Again really nice crisp views with no noticeable color problems or aberration. The spider defraction is not noticeable, unless you really look for it. I guess the extra money for the optics upgrade was worth it. About this point, the wind picked up and made the scope shaky and hard to focus. It also made me cold, so I decided to call it a night. I had spent about 3 hours total looking at different things and was very happy with the first light performance of the 130ST.
